Glossopharyngeal schwannoma as a differential for a cerebellopontine angle mass

Abstract

We report a case of cerebellopontine angle tumour, presenting with hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo. This turned out to be a glossopharyngeal schwannoma. This has potential implications on selection of surgical approach and preoperative counselling of expected postoperative cranial nerve deficits.
