Subject: modeling and managing extended support and development of gifted children in their education. Aim: the rationale and creation of a regional management system model of activities for educating gifted children, which will enable their real and potential participants to engage in resultative interaction, to implement complex psychological, pedagogical, and scholarly support of gifted children in educational domain, to create conditions for the successful self-fulfillment of gifted persons of different ages. Methodological basis of the work: systemic, culturological, and personality-oriented approaches. Method of study: modeling – constructing structural-functional and descriptive models. Result: the article writers argue that it is currently essential to introduce in the region the model of the management system for education of gifted children; the article demonstrates the structure, directions and content of activites of the University Center for the Development of Giftedness, its interaction with other schools and divisions of the University, harmonizing the Center’s activity with educational, cultural, sports institutions and additional education institutions in the region. Results application area: education, upbringing, development, vocational orientation of gifted children, psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children in education. Conclusions: the suggested management system for education of gifted children is aimed not only at developing gifts in a child, but also at molding the child’s personality, their health care, as well as at raising psychological and pedagogical culture of surrounding adults. The model can be adjusted to the specific features of a particular region in Russia.
