Improving the information support of the management system

Abstract

The article examines the ways to study the ways to improve the information support of the enterprise management system. It is proved that modern information systems allow for continuous accounting and control over the status and movement of inventory, financial and human resources at an enterprise. They also provide information on the results of the enterprise's activities, rapid preparation of analytical documents, forecasts and work plans based on reliable and complete information available at any time. It is determined that the use of information systems and modern technologies in the field of enterprise management leads to an increase in the efficiency of production and economic activity. This is achieved by prompt collection and a more rational mechanism for processing and systematizing economic information, reducing the time to respond to external changes, optimizing the organizational structure of the enterprise, obtaining timely and rational options for solving management problems, increasing labor productivity, rationalizing the production structure, reducing operating and management costs, forming an optimal development strategy in a competitive and rapidly changing market environment, increasing the efficiency of the enterprise. The article considers PDM (Product Data Management) - one of the most important systems in the modern industry. Every day, employees create huge amounts of information, including product information, data tables, and much more. The article investigates the product life cycle (PLM system) and what stages it includes.
