La Iglesia argentina en la historia reciente (1983-1989)

Abstract

With the election of Jorge Bergoglio as the new Pope, the Argentinean Church reach to occupy a place of greater consideration in the Catholic world. This article focuses on its path, arguing that the period after the last military dictatorship and coinciding with the government of Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1989), is fundamental to understand it. The process of Argentinean Church institutional restructuration was led by heavy criticism for its links with the military government.
