Relevance. The expression of the temporal and closely related aspects of the Russian verb is a very complex fragment of the Russian grammar, which makes practitioners working in the Chinese audience turn to Chinese student’s native language. Practice has shown that comparative (contrastive) analysis conducted for educational purposes is particularly relevant in the audience of speakers of analytical Chinese, which, as is well known, is far from Russian in its typology, from European analytical languages in terms of expressing (linguo-universal) temporal and aspect values. Purpose and methodology. In order to create a linguodidactic description of Russian as a foreign language for our numerous Chinese students audience, we consider this fragment of grammar in a comparative aspect. The research was carried out in the direction of the functional-communicative fundamental applied grammar of the Russian language [9]. Research methods. The comparative (contrastive) method allows us to understand the barriers of students who are carriers of a particular language (Chinese), take linguistic relativity into account and form a transcoding algorithm for students. Results. The article shows the differences in the ways of expressing the time plans of the sentence-statement and aspectuality in Chinese and Russian. This forces Russian practitioners to look for other ways to represent this category, than the meaning of “momentariness” and “result, change of the situation assigned to perfect forms in the basic textbooks, and to the imperfect forms ‒ the meaning “fact”, “process” and “repeatability”. However, a number of grammems do not contradict each other (process and repeatability; fact and result), and these grammems themselves manifest in the kinds of tense forms of verbs of strictly defined semantics. The scope of the research results. The results of the research are relevant for the linguodidactical description of the verb form as one of the categories (functional grammatical), intended to express the universal-language meanings of aspectuality, and intended to optimize the teaching Russian as a foreign Chinese students and to create a grammar of the verb form for pedagogical purposes.
