Abstract

The film, in most cases, has ceased to be a social spectacle, where a number of people gathered to see what was happening on a white screen lit up. Yet the film still alive. The following pages, profusely illustrated, drawn from the author's point of view a portrait film about the origins, evolution, gender, language of film, editing and soundtracks.
