The Assessing post partum blue in women refer to maternity Clinics In Shiraz at 1382

Introduction: There are high prevalence of psychiatric disorders in reproductive age women,that increase in third month of post partum .Attention to importance of this and high incidence of postpartum depression specially to postpartum blue , This study was performed to investigate the rate and related factor of postpartum in Shiraz. Materiel and method: This study is a analytical –cross-sectional type with the aim of investigating the finding of post partum blue in postpartum women's referring to maternity clinics in Shiraz. The samples consisted of 400 pregnant women in 2 weeks after postpartum that came to maternity clinic for postpartum evaluation in sampling period. The data were collected through questionnaires, the first questionnaire contained epidemiologic information (personal / Family / economical and social conditions ) and The second questionnaire contained Edinbrough test with 10 multiple choice item to measure postpartum blue .The analysis of the data was based on analytic as chi square test and other explanation statistics. Result :The incidence of postpartum blue was 51.3 This problem was more prevalent in prim housewives, in par. The relation between postpartum blue and familial factor (quality of spouse relationship ) and mutual support between them , the same as between this disturbance and psychological factors as couple problem , stress life event and psychological problem was positive (p<.005) .No obtained relation between this problems and psychosocial problem. Conclusion: In attention to high prevalence of postpartum depression and relation between this problem , personal- and familiar factors, Wide teaching of women ,couple and family with aim of prevention to psychiatric disease and increase level of mental health in our community is needed.
