Psoriasis on both saphenectomized lower limbs: Bilateral Brodell syndrome
Abstract
Abstract A 52‐year‐old woman presented with typical patches of psoriasis restricted to the lower limbs that had been saphenectomized 16 years before. Saphenectomy uniformly destroys the cellophane‐like walls of the major lymphatic vessel running adjacent to the saphenous vein, thus creating an obstacle to the local lymph drainage and changes in local immune response. The involved immunocompromised district may be more susceptible to develop immune‐related disorders.
