Foreign Language Policy in Algeria and Contextual Constraints : A Micro-Level Analysis
Abstract
Abstract : This paper has attempted to carry out an in-depth and systemic analysis of E.F.L education in Algeria. It has also strived to outline, in a detailed way, the most determinant contextual factors which exercise a powerful influence on the learner’s educational growth and language proficiency. The research has encompassed not only micro-level and research context bound variables (learner’s prevalent orientations, teachers’ knowledge base competence, and pedagogical resources), but also broader issues related to foreign language policy.
