Background. The individual is the subject of their own time, however, in conditions of high informatization, they are subjected to global challenges that require the development of skills to control information consumption. Uncontrolled consumption of information leads to «overload», to the inability to effectively organize time, to the postponement of the actual implementation of set tasks. Digital consumption is an external factor influencing the individual, it affects the construction of the individual’s temporal constructs. Purpose. Analysis of the influence of information consumption on the ecology of the individual, on their ability to self-organize, and the formation of temporal perspectives. Methodology. A group of 28 people aged 18 to 35 was studied. The method of revealing the level of procrastination by N.M. Klepikova and I.N. Kormachev was used; the method for identifying the index of immersion in the Internet environment (L.A. Regush, E.V. Alekseeva, O.R. Veretina, A.V. Orlova, Yu.S. Pezhemskaya); a survey of Philip Zimbardo’s temporal perspective was conducted. Results. Among the participants who have a low level of procrastination and a low level of digital consumption in the group, high indicators are traced in the assessment of the future, and low indicators in the fatalistic present. Thus, the group of individuals under consideration positively assesses their prospects for the future, is inclined to planning and detailed organization of time, self-organization. Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in practical activities, including in relation to issues of self-organization of the individual, in the organization of professional activities, as well as in the formation of approaches to time management.
