DISCRIMINACIÓN DE GAS COMERCIAL Y GAS FIZZ MEDIANTE ANÁLISIS DE ATRIBUTOS AVO Y MODELADO DE SUBSTITUCIÓN DE FLUIDOS

Abstract

The Analysis of the AVO attributes based on geophysics models, rock physics and seismic modeling, has become an important tool in the study of the exploration projects, helping to recognize zones with possible commercial interest. However, it is recognized the difficulty in the discrimination between the rocks saturated with commercial gas (over 50%) and those with a low content of gas, namely Fizz Gas (1-10%) using the AVO analysis exclusively; several failures are reported on the literature where the Fizz Gas has lead into a wrong interpretation of the commercial hydrocarbons markers.
