Between The Aesthetics And Politics: Poetry And Prose Work Of Mak Dizdar From 1937 To 1956

Abstract

In this paper we follow the poetic development of poetry and prose Mak Dizdara since 1937 till 1956 year. Since Dizdar made his canonical place in Bosniak and Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature with poetic collections (Kameni spavač, Okrutnosti kruga, ect.), a significant corpus of his prose and poetry work remained unexplored in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian literary periodicals and dailypapers. The contribution of this work is reflected in the fact that in it, as far as we know, is the first literary-historica land poetic represents Dizdar’s prose and poetry from that period. This, in fact, testifies the other, almost unrecognized, literary identity of this great poet.
