Agrarian Crisis in Russian Empire at End of XIX as Factor of State Land Banks’ Origin in Dnieper Ukraine Provinces
Abstract
Influence of agrarian crisis at the end of the XIX th century in the Russian Empire on the origin of state land banks, Peasants’ (1882) and Nobles’ (1885), which according to the imperial government were meant if not stop but at least soften its negative consequences, has been analyzed. Ukrainian provinces were thought as those regions of the Empire where local divisions of both banks were especially active, positively influencing, by and large, on concentration of agricultural land in the hands of direct producers. i.e. of peasants
