Landscape is a multidisciplinary element in which the field of heritage has become a contribution that has helped support its cultural values with an enhanced status, amongst which those related to industry have gained importance. The Region of Murcia preserves a rich and significant industrial landscape, the legacy of the mining operations of Cartagena-La Unión and Mazarrón, for which a series of measures have been taken to safeguard and consolidate it as a heritage reference. The objective of this study is to analyse them, consider their implementation and study their impact in order to determine how effective they have been. For this reason, a specific file has been created and used to determine its current status, a point that has been completed with a SWOT analysis that has highlighted the main aspects that influence its current situation. A previous dissertation that focused on these issues, aimed at putting the landscape contributions of industrial heritage into context. The results obtained show that what has been carried out is not enough to conserve them and that new action must be taken to reverse the situation generated by inefficient decisions and delayed proposals.
