This paper shows the paleogeographic evolution of the Jaguaruna and Lagoa de Garopaba do Sul charts, located in the Southern littoral of the Santa Catarina State. The paleogeographic model of the study area can be resumed in five evolution stages, following this order: I – lower Pleistocene regression with alluvial fan formation associated to semi-arid climate; II – upper Pleistocene transgression and barrier-lagoon formation; III – upper Pleistocene regression after the maximum transgression with erosion of the Pleistocene deposits and development of the eolian system; IV - Holocene transgression with Pleistocene valley erosion and development of a new barrier-lagoon system; V – Holocene regression, coastline progradation with strand plains beyond the development of the Tubarão river intralagoon delta.
