Abstract
This paper centers on Hausa culture, putting emphasis on foreign students wishing to study Hausa culture, and to see how they will visualize "culture shock". Its author has observed social stratification in Hausa family system, with emphasis on Hausa courtship (love). He has also stressed the stages of how the Hausas pursue their marriage. The paper also touches on some issues related to Hausa food, in particular the issue of collective or group eating known as ciyayyalhs author has also extensively discussed the contribution of the Hausa artists makadan baka in the field of entertainment. A Hausa artist does not pay tax to the government from what he earns, nor does he need any license. All he needs is to use his talent to feed himself from the society.
