Pancreatic pseudocysts are uncommon in children and tend to arise secondary to trauma or an episode of acute or chronic pancreatitis. Those that fail initial conservative management and become too large and/or complicated often require intervention. While successful endoscopic management is possible in the pediatric population, young children represent a special challenge and usually warrant surgical management. Here, we describe two cases involving young children with pancreatic pseudocysts successfully managed by transduodenal cystoduodenostomy.
