Experience and Identity: Jackie Huggins and writing history
Abstract
Jackie Huggins is an Aboriginal historian and activist who has been outspoken in her defence of Aboriginal rights. Her first book, a biography of her mother titled 'Aunty Rita' was published recently and a collection of her essays is currently in press. Jackie is based in Brisbane but while in Perth in October, 1995 she agreed to respond on tape to a list of questions submitted by members of the 'Limina' editorial collective.
