The diversity of independent regulatory authorities in Algerian legislation
Abstract
The emergence of economic regulatory authorities in Algeria coincided with the shift from a controlled economy to a market economy, as the national market would witness an opening that would allow private dealers to enter it. And since the sectors open to competition differ, including the financial and economic sectors, the specificity of each agency must be taken into account to suit the sector it controls, and from it the independent regulatory authorities differed and varied according to their legal adaptation and then according to their administrative organization as well as their area of specialization. The Algerian legislator has imported the French model, although there is a peculiarity of the situation in Algeria compared to France, and the legislator is still swinging in the extension of experience to all economic sectors, and it may regress in some sectors. This is what prevents it from carrying out the entire task entrusted to it, given that there are two types of institutions in the market, public and private
