The management of inst tutional change at universities through ICT
Abstract
ICT and E‐learning integration in education centers involves, interalia reflecting on the challenges of the role of training institutions. This is something that significantly involves the role to be taken by institutional leaders to generate appropriate organizational development strategies in order to harness the potential of technology for the development of training, communication and social pro ection functions to be undertaken. Our main interest in this study was to determine and describe the processes of integration of ICT and E-learning at University, and assess their administrative, organizational and management implications. Participants in this study were twenty teachers who are members of management teams of the different centers of the University of A Coruña (UDC). Our research is placed on the qualitative approach, using interview and document analysis as main research strategies. Results show the positive consideration of UDC managers about the commitment of the University to promote the integration of ICT through programs that have been launched since its inception to the present day. In addition, management teams are aware of the responsibility they have in order to achieve the development of teaching through the intensive use of ICT and E‐learning platforms according to quality standards.
