Abstract

If actuality is one of the features that characterizes the Classics, Gené's work still assumes a creepy value. Originally written for the Grupo Actoral 80 (GA 80) of Caracas in 1988, the action takes place in an undetermined place in Latin America that has suffered an invasion by a neighboring country, with the excuse of an old border dispute. The pressing news gives a new dimension to the complaint and gives a new layer of meaning to the many readings it proposes.
