Complications of sclerotherapy of veins of lower extremities: classification, causes

Abstract

For many years, surgery has remained the primary treatment for patients with chronic diseases of the veins of the lower extremities. However, a major injury as a result of surgery, frequent complications, hospitalization and long-term disability of patients are inevitable features of phlebectomy. The sclerotherapy method doesn't have these disadvantages. The review aims to analyze possible complications of sclerotherapy of the veins of the lower extremities.
