Copper Oxide (CuO) nanoparticles were synthesized by the solution combustion method. The crystallite size of the particles was determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The elastic properties of prepared nanomaterial were also studied using ELATE software. The dielectric properties of CuO nanoparticles were carried out at room (30 °C) and elevated temperatures (50–200 °C). The variation of the alternating current (ac) conductivity (σdc), dielectric constant (k), dielectric loss (tanδ), impedance (Z) and electric modulus (M) were studied as a function of frequency and temperature. The results showed that the dielectric properties and ac conductivity of the prepared nanoparticles were dependent on frequency and temperature. The prepared nanoparticles can be used for energy storage applications.
