SPECIAL ISSUE: THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL CANCER ACT OF 1971 - Introduction

Abstract

The Editors the Journal of Cancer Rehabilitation (JCR), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the law enacted on December 23, 1971 by the American Congress, signed by President Richard Nixon, better known as “The National Cancer Act of 1971”, wishes to commemorate this key date with this Special Issue. This Issue includes contributions from many of the greatest minds in cancer control research, clinical practice, and advocacy, who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of cancer survivors and is dedicated, rst of all, to the millions of cancer survivors, as well as their caregivers and family members, who fought and continue to ght valiantly through their cancer journey.
