Abstract

The establishment of the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda showed that the implementation of individual criminal responsibility is possible at international level; and while the international criminal law specialists set their studies on the development of the jurisprudence of the courts on the principle of legality of crimes, it is not the same, in terms of the principle of legality of sentences .This study attempts to evaluate the sentences imposed by the courts and the criteria used to support them
