Usages et pratiques de la digitalisation des soins et des relations : ce que les outils numériques font à la PMA transfrontière
Abstract
This article explores various aspects of the use of digital tools in the context of cross-border reproductive care (CBRC), based on interviews with individuals who have used medically assisted reproduction (MAR) outside the French legal or medical framework. It highlights the role of digital practices in the development of family planning projects and the implementation of reproductive treatments. The article also examines how digital tools contribute to expanding procreative possibilities within the "fertility market" and the pitfalls and challenges inherent in this experience. By comparing digital practices in MAR care in France and abroad, we aim to shift the inquiry beyond the public/private healthcare dichotomy and thus open new avenues for reflection on the functions and adoption of digital tools in the patient-care relationship.
