Investigating the Effect of Collaborative Capability on the Performance of New Joint Product Design and Development in the Aerospace Industry
Abstract
Due to the complexity of aerospace industry products, their development requires the use of different design teams, numerous scientific specialties and extensive resources. Therefore, companies need to refer to the resources hidden in external companies to improve performance due to their limited resources. Based on this, companies cooperate with each other. Entering a partnership requires the ability to work together so that the partnership is not compromised. Therefore, the problem facing companies is understanding, recognizing the capabilities of joint efforts and its impact on joint performance.This study examines several capabilities that enable companies to use them as a tool to combine knowledge and expertise in a partnership and increase their performance.In the context of the dynamic capability perspective, "resource sharing capability", "joint planning capability", "problem solving capability and joint performance appraisal" and "joint venture cultural capability" have been identified as collaborate capabilities and then using structural equation modeling of effects They have studied the performance of joint product design and development in the country's aerospace industry. The results show that the stated capabilities have a positive effect on the design performance and development of the joint product.
