The parents' adaptation to chronic disease of child by the example of the spinale cord injury and the cerebral palsy of teens and toung people
Abstract
Chronic disease (including an injury of a spinal cord and cerebral palsy) influences both patient and his family. We used acomplex of the methods to observe of 36 parents of teenagers ang young people with spinal trauma and 24 parents jf teenagers and young people with cerebral palsy. The parents of the patients with spinal trauma incorporation with th e parents of the patients with cerebral palsy have more severy simptoms of emotional troubles, especially those whose children are in initial stages rehabilitation. Also showed that the process of adaptation is closely connected with different communicative disfunctions, including ones aimed at strengthening of the control and overprotection. With the help of the data analysis we're formulated the details of psychological support of the parents of teenagers and young people according to the child' condition.
