El fondo antiguo de la biblioteca de la Universidad de Sevilla
Abstract
[ES] El artículo se inicia con una historia de la formación del patrimonio bibliográfico de la Biblioteca de la Universidad de Sevilla desde la creación de la biblioteca por Rodrigo Fernández de Santaella, a principios del siglo XVI, hasta la actualidad. Un segundo apartado analiza los fondos, y por último se describen los procesos de gestión de la colección que afectan al acceso –catalogación e información bibliográfica y referencia-, la política de conservación, y los proyectos de difusión a través de las redes sociales, la digitalización y las exposiciones. [EN] This article begins with a history of the bibliographical heritage of the Library of the University of Seville, from the first steps of the library, created by Rodrigo Fernández de Santaella, in the beginnings of the XVIth Century, until today. A second part of the article analizes the rare book and manuscript collection and describes several processes related with management of the library: access –mainly reference services and cataloging--, preservation police, use of social networks, digitalisation proyect and virtual exhibitions.
