This article introduces some theoretical and methodological considerations allied to practical examples concerning researches on History of Mathematics. It deals with issues related to the delimitation of the research, facts and sources, types of investigation, historical documents and records. It is aimed at teachers and learners beginners in historical research who seek references, and at experienced scholars who examine and discuss researches.
