The purpose of research – to investigate certain features of protein accumulation in C. limicola IМВ K-8 cells, depending on the type of mineral and organic nutrition. Methods. The paper used conventional microbiological methods of research, the standard method for determining the protein concentration by the method of Lowry, biochemical method for determining glucose concentration using analytical set “Diagluk-2”, statistical analysis of data is performed. Results. Stimulating effect on the processes of accumulation of protein molecules in C. limicola IМВ К-8 cells has L-glutamine, L-glutamate, L-aspartate and α-ketoglutarate. Fasting on Fe2+ions in the absence of ammonium ions in the culture medium caused inhibition of the processes of biomass and protein accumulation in the cells of the test strain. It is shown that green sulfur bacteria C. limicola IМВ K-8 efficiently perform nitrogen fixation under anaerobic conditions, both in the terms of darkness and light.
