Le fédéralisme canadien et la Cour suprême
Abstract
This article discusses a few peculiarities of the relationship between the Canadian federalism and its jurisdictional institutions. Therefore, it will seek to gather a global picture of the applicable substantive law trough a review of selected judicial doctrine and relevant judgments. First, it approaches the division of competences between federal and provincial authorities as well as conceptual frameworks to characterize it. A brief presentation of diverse jurisprudential currents will then illustrate ideological tendencies expressed by judicial institutions whilst treating federation-related issues. Lastly, it will present the Court’s organization and jurisdiction.
