When couples life is approached from the uses of time point of view, most of the empirical sociological exercises tend to focus on the distribution or division of domestic tasks. A type of observation that tends to: a) leave aside the rest of the activities, except exceptionally for paid work; b) focus on what each of the members of the couple does and not on what they do together. The present work is an observation of Spanish couples from the sociology of time. A work that tries to respond to: what do couple members do together, when are they together and what are the activities that contribute the most to being together. Even though it cannot be fully said that it is an observation about shared time, to the extent that this concept involves a certain inversion of subjectivity, it is an approximation to it. To do this, it has used the results of the 2009-2010 Time Use Survey as a source, focusing solely on the sub-sample of informants who live with a partner.
