Multiplexed labeling of cellular proteins with split fluorescent protein tags

Abstract

Tamura et al. expand the split fluorescent protein system to multi-colour imaging (six-colours). Their multiplexing approach, using the orthogonal split FP systems, allows simultaneous imaging of four distinct proteins in single cells.
