إعادة صياغة تعريف المُتحف: التحديات والخطوات Re-Examining the museum definition: Challenges and Steps

Abstract

{AR} برغم أن صورة المُتحف منذ نشأته في العصر الحديث شهدت تغيراً تدرجياًّ على مدى قرون، إلا أن العقود الأخيرة شهدت تطورا ملحوظا واختلافا واسعا حول صورة المُتحف ومفهومه. فقد ظلت الصورة التقليدية للمُتحف وثيقة الصلة بوظائفه الأساسية بداية من فكرة الاقتناء وصولا للعرض والإتاحة. فلم يكن حدوث اختلاف حول تعريف المُتحف أمرا مطروحا قبل عدة عقود، وإن تغيرت صيغته أكثر من مرة. ولكن التطور التي شهدته المتاحف منذ الربع الأخير للقرن العشرين، وتزايدت وتيرته في العقدين الآخيرين، وضع خبراء المتاحف في تحدٍّ صعبٍ في سبيل تحديث تعريف المُتحف. أخذا في الاعتبار أن وتيرة التغيير في المجتمع الدولي، وواقع أثرها على المتاحف، وتطورها، هي أمور من شأنها أن تجعل أي مقترح لتعريف جديد مستهلكًا أو غير وافٍ في غضون سنوات قلائل. وقد عمل الأيكوم علي وضع تعريف يعكس الصورة الواقعية للمُتحف. وهو التعريف الذي تم الاقتراع عليه في اجتماع الجمعية العمومية في براغ (24 أغسطس 2022م). وفي ضوء ذلك، يناقش هذا البحث مفهوم المُتحف وتطور صورته وتعريفه عبر التاريخ؛ ويناقش التعريفات المختلفة التي وضعت للمُتحف مراعيا سيقاتها التاريخية. ويوضح الركائز الأساسية التي يجب مراعاتها في بناء وصياغة تعريف المُتحف. ويستعرض سياسة الأيكوم في إدارة ملف صياغة التعريف حرصا علي أن يكون تعريفا جامعا ومعاصرا في ظل التحديات والصعوبات التي واجهت عملية تحديث التعريف. الكلمات الدالة: تعريف المُتحف ؛ علم المتاحف الحديث ؛ نشأة المُتحف ؛ دور المُتحف؛ المجلس الدولي للمتاحف ؛وظائف المُتحف {EN} Although the image of the Museum has witnessed remarkable changes in the course of its history, but the recent decades witnessed a wide development for the museum concept. The traditional picture remained relativelyunchanged and attached to its principal functions from acquisition up to display and accessibility. Thus, several decades ago, the museum definition has not witnessed any notable disagreement, even though its formation had been changed several times. The notable development that museums witnessed in the last quarter of the 20th century, and its increase in the last two decades, has placed museum experts in a huge challenge to produce a new definition. Consideration is given too to the notable change in international society and its impact on museums, and their developments usually indicate that any proposed definition for the museum might be unsuitable in few years later ICOM worked intensively to place a new definition that reflects the actual image of the museum today; the one, which is agreed on during the ICOM General Assembly in Prague on 24 August 2022. This paper discusses the concept of museum, the development of its historical image over the course of time. It captures its different definitions with consideration to the historical contexts, pointing out the main factors which should be considered for the formation of the museum definition, as well as the ICOM philosophy and methodology to proceed and propose a new definition
