The genitourinary system is affected in 10 % of patients with Brucellosis infection. However, renal abscess (or Brucelloma) is remarkably rare. Only 6 case reports have been described in the literature.A 34-year-old male presenting with back pain, fever and thick-walled abscess of the left kidney on computerised tomography. Subsequent blood cultures isolated Brucellosis Suis. He was treated conservatively with an extended course of antibiotics and his abscess subsequently reduced in size.We propose that uncomplicated Renal Brucelloma under 30mm in size can be treated conservatively with extended antibiotic course and follow up.
