Historical-scientific characterization of Environmental Sciences in Brazil: dialogues between scientific production and historiography / Caracterização histórico-cientifica das Ciências Ambientais no Brasil: diálogos entre a produção científica e a Historiografia

Abstract

This article analyzes the documentary characterization of the environmental sciences. Initially, ideas, notions, concepts, predictions referring to conceptual construction are explained. Afterwards, we have historiogramed the Environmental Sciences in the scientific academic scene in Brazil, this is a theoretical bibliographical research, based on the critical historical method and the instruments of data collection used were systematic search, and documentary research in the sites of Capes and the Ministry of Science and technology. The results demonstrate that the theory in the field of the environmental sciences is/is classified by an explanatory dogmatic pragmatism. With an initial of the agrarian and biological sciences, however the scientific events of the area constituted north for significant increase in the representation and intellectual production of the Environmental Sciences like field of knowledge.
