The teacher on cinema: reflections about hero teacher depicts on The Ron Clark story motion picture.

The school setting and the challenges of teacher profession are present in filmic narratives of various genres, such films illustrates that the teacher get the power to transform difficult and discredited classes. The teaching depicts on motion picture illustrate an imaginary of teachers as someone committed and determined to make a difference in students lives. According (DALTON, 1995; FABRIS, 1999; PADIAL, 2010) the sensational appeal of Hollywood productions make the teacher figure a simulacrum of the hero who has the noble mission to lead their students to the tortuous path of knowledge. This article analyzes the images of teaching from the perspective of the hero teacher present in the motion picture The Ron Clark Story (2006). The hero teacher needs to overcome obstacles, to face challenges to fulfill the mission that involves resilience, sacrifice, determination and perseverance.
