Abstract
The contribution of historians of Volgograd State University to studying of the history of the Battle of Stalingrad and restoration of Stalingrad is considered in the article: forming of the scientific schools, publication of monographs and collections of documents; holding of conferences, scientific work on the basis of the Museum of cadet regiments of VolSU.
