Public Art e welfare culturale. L'impatto di un intervento di arte pubblica sul benessere e la salute dei partecipanti

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide a reflection on the impact that the experiences of public and participatory art can have on citizens, also in terms of people's well-being and health. After an introduction on the role that Public Art can exercise in the cultural welfare context, the article proposes research conducted through a mixed approach aimed at restoring the perception of well-being in citizens who have participated in an urban flânerie experience conducted by artist Elena Mazzi. The case study intends to introduce a comparison on the methods of assessing and measuring the social impact produced by culture.
