The purpose of this research was to evaluate the usefulness of Brain Cartography in the diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as its ability to differentiate population with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder from control subjects without diagnosis and with other psychopathological diagnoses. The high prevalence of the disorder (3-5%) that affects the child population and the chronicity of this disorder make it an important problem. To this is added the difficulty for diagnosis, the absence of objective tests that describe the degree of involvement. Clinical neurophysiology offers techniques that support, guide and quantify the disorder. These techniques collaborate in the orientation and therapeutic management of these patients, allowing a follow-up of the response to different therapeutic strategies used in these patients.
