Odontomas - An Incidental Radiographic Finding ?
Abstract
The term odontoma has evolved since its introduction in 1868 from being applied to several odontogenic tumors to its current usage for a hamartomatous odontogenic lesion that matures to the point of producing calcified dental tissues such as enamel, dentin and cementum in varying proportions and states of development. This report presents 9 cases of complex and 1 case of compound odontoma, all of which incidental radiographic findigns.
