Senses, emotions and artefacts: relational approaches. Introduction
Abstract
The objective of this introduction is to present the list of concerns in which indication to the Special Section on Senses, emotions and artefacts: relational approaches is established. The intention of indicating this has been to begin an exchange of possible assemblies between these reference points. This text highlights the need for relational thinking which allows these aspects in social research to be articulated. Said course of action does not involve a unidirectional solution or an indication to position oneself from the perspective of a tradition or trend which may resolve the problem of articulation between senses, emotions and artefacts. Rather, starting from the case of disciplinary plurality, as well as from the productive theoretical and conceptual exchange which characterises the many and varied extents of the contemporary debate, some of the analytical central concepts will be outlined with an emphasis on relational perspectives which encourage us to think about the intersection between senses, emotions and artefacts. With the contributions of this Special Section, we attempt to help towards drawing up an environment for discussion which can continue to flourish in the future.
