The founder of International League of Islamic literature, Syed Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi is the renowned and great Islamic scholar who is acknowledged in the Arab and non-Arab world for his extensive and comprehensive knowledge in research and literature. He is the first religious scholar who studied the greatest Urdu poet of the century, Allama Muhammad Iqbal with keen interest and great insight. He was one of the influential preachers of Iqbal and after Dr Abdul Wahab Azzam he played a vital role in introducing Iqbal in the Arab world. In Arabic language he wrote on the personality and poetry of Allama Iqbal in such a fascinating and impeccable style that made the Arab world enamoured of him and this is why the Arab scholars admit the fact that they feel Allama Iqbal has become alive for them after reading the write-ups of Abul Hasan Nadwi. To acknowledge his services several awards and honors were bestowed upon him.
