Development of an enterprise intranet information system

Abstract

Information technology has become an important part of our lives. They are used in all spheres of life without exception, and business, private and public enterprises are no exception. Most businesses use information technology in the form of information systems that support their operations. Such systems can improve the management of an enterprise, optimise its internal business processes and have a positive impact on the stability of its operations. This paper presents the development of an information system for an enterprise intranet, from the initial stages: defining the basic requirements, concept, and structure development, to the final stages: designing the architecture, writing functional algorithms, and developing the information system. The purpose of the study is to develop an information system for an enterpriseʼs internal network to optimise internal processes. The study formulated the task and ways to achieve it, and identified the main requirements for the system, such as flexibility, simplicity, modularity, and functionality. The structure of the information system is modular and will consist of 12 separate modules. The system architecture is based on the MVC design template, and its use will ensure that the system meets all key requirements. The development of the system was based on the development of individual functional algorithms. An object-oriented approach was used during the development. The result of the presented research is the developed information system of the enterpriseʼs internal network, the system fully meets the requirements and is ready for implementation in the structure of the organisation.
