THE PHENOMENON OF THE CULTURE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN EDUCATION IN THE XXI CENTURY
Abstract
The article discusses the most important aspects of establishing a culture of sustainable development as the basic culture of the modern man. Disclose it axiological, ontological, epistemological, praxeological aspects, reflecting the diversity of philosophical concepts of culture.The role of education in the broadcast of new cultural values, the culture of sustainable development. Pressing issues of modern education reform in the interests of sustainable development. Systematizing role in solving this problem is given to environmental education, which is regarded as the strategic direction of renovation of educational systems in the interests of sustainable development.Special attention is paid to the role of geo-ecological education in the resolution of social, economic, environmental contradictions. Allocated categorical essence and methodological basis of geo-ecological culture as a greening target geography, giving it the character of advanced education for sustainable development.
