By the late 30’s, avoiding the military conflict taking place in Spain and the later that would take place in Europe, Antonio Bonet arrived to Buenos Aires with the purpose of leading the architectonic vanguard. In order to achieve that aim he was formed with the experiences lived along with Josep Lluis Sert and Le Corbusier and the ones lived with painter and architect Roberto Matta Echaurren in Paris. Due to this relationship the drawings that Bonet carried to Argentina could come to life. The aim of this article is to reveal the surrealistic key components which are found in Bonet’s work of those years by analyzing those drawings (some of them unpublished) and the collages that were with him in his journey. His concerns will be tried to be guessed as well as his inevitable contradictions.
