Optics of Operating Microscope

Abstract

Operating microscope is an instrument which is imperative for modern eye surgery. The entire system helps to form an enlarged and erect image at the intended working distance. Its major components include the eyepiece, a telescope system, an inverting prism, a magnification changer and the objective lens. The proper and coordinated functioning of each of these parts is very important for optimal functioning of this instrument.
