Abstract

The philosophy in Colosse has been the subject of many debates in theology. Different theories have been proposed: Jewish Gnosticism, pagan religion, Jewish-pagan syncretism, even a non-philosophy theory. The attempts to understand the problem the Colossians were facing we need a close search of the historical, religious, and theological, as well as the grammatical context of the epistle.
