Abstract
(ES) Los manuales y cuadernos escolares constituyen una de las fuentes para reconstruir la cultura es-crita infantil y conocer tanto el contexto de producción y difusión de la misma como los usos, funciones y significados que los niños y niñas atribuyen a la escritura y a la lectura. A través del análisis comparativo de un manual y de un cuaderno escolar de los años 40, en este artículo nos aproximaremos a la escuela del primer franquismo y a la importancia que en el seno de la misma se le dio a la Geografía y a la Historia.
